Mermaid Academy

  • Mermaids, ease into the experience with a quick check in and waiver form completion. Enjoy a bubbly welcome, as we begin with the Presentation of the Pearls.

  • We will move into a series of light stretching to warm up our bodies to prepare for mermaid form and movement.

    You’ll end up using many muscles in your core, hips, legs, and yes - even feet - and we will gently wake those areas with careful movement.

    Honoring our skin, we will have Stream2Sea Mineral Shimmer Sunscreen available for a subtle mermaid glow + sun protection. To add more mermaid glam, a shimmer station will also be available for extra mermaid sparkles!

  • Find your Fins! This portion will be dedicated to finding you perfect fit - with tails and monofins for each size.

    We will explore assembling the tails while learning the importance and utility of each component. Donning and ditching instructions will be given at this point, while on dry land.

  • The transformation has already begun, and we will capture the magic with a Mermaid Mini photoshoot! Each Mermaiden will have their portrait taken against a magical backdrop, and receive their portrait on their Mermaid Academy certificates.

    We will gather for a group shot, with all Mermaidens in their tails before moving to the pool.

  • We'll dive into the pool and spend fifteen minutes talking about mermaid safety and property safety procedures. Each mermaiden will be paired with a sister, to ensure everyone has access to immediate safety.

    This portion of the experience instills the magic of sisterhood, friendship, and trust.

    Together with your “seaster,” you’ll demonstrate your comfortability in the water, while we move through the mermaid modules of performance.

  • Consistent with Mermaid Academy, Mermaid Modules are a series of Skin Diving techniques designed to improve your comfortability and efficiency in the water while wearing your tail.

    You will need to bring a dive mask and snorkel for this exercise*

  • Mermaidens will gather to present the bride with Something Blue; a Last Splash Crewneck to remember her magical day as a mermaid in the Florida Keys.

    Barefoot By The Sea Mermaid Academy Certificates of Completion will be available for digital download 3-5 days after the experience.

The Barefoot Bride

To provide ample time to honor the bride and move through each module, “Last Splash” is a minimum two hour event, available for groups of six or more. Tickets to reserve Last Splash are $150.00 per person.

Reserve

  • All equipment and materials (tails, monofins, mineral sunscreen, shimmer, props) will be provided by Mermaid Dorian.

    You’ll need to bring a mask and snorkel set, beach towel, camera (underwater is fine), and water bottle.

    *Alcoholic beverages will not be included but you may bring your own to enjoy at your leisure. Any guest who is visibly impaired may enjoy the pool but will not be given a mermaid tail or a refund.

  • To keep with the Last Splash coastal luxury mermaid theme, please consider your decorations and props to maximize the quality of Last Splash and any photographs taken during the event. Any Profanities will be asked to be removed from the pool area to maintain the status and appearance of Last Splash.

    Resorts

    • Use of resort space and pool is dependent on the location and availability of the resort pool. Please call the front desk of your hotel before booking.

    Every participating mermaiden must complete a liability waiver prior to the event. Refusal to comply will result in a loss of the opportunity, and no refund will be issued.
